Leadership & Company Growth
Alicia Halpin is the President and Founder of NYC Disinfection Services, Inc., a New York State and New York City certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) providing janitorial services, construction support, environmental cleaning, and residential relocation services throughout New York City.

Incorporated in April 2020, NYC Disinfection Services quickly established itself as a reliable operational partner for essential facilities across the five boroughs. Under Halpin’s leadership, the company secured early large-scale public health and municipal contracts, laying the foundation for long-term public-sector engagement.

Building on that early momentum, the company transitioned strategically into competitive government bidding environments and expanded into public housing and municipal support operations. NYC Disinfection Services has since secured contracts requiring prevailing wage compliance, HUD alignment, and Davis-Bacon adherence, establishing itself as a disciplined and systems-driven contractor within New York City.

Operational Focus & Compliance
Halpin’s leadership approach is defined by operational execution, systems-focused growth, and decisive problem-solving. She emphasizes structured internal processes, workforce oversight, and regulatory compliance across all projects.

The company prioritizes adherence to federal, state, and municipal labor standards, including Section 3 workforce participation and MWBE subcontracting engagement. Under her direction, NYC Disinfection Services has developed internal compliance systems designed to meet the demands of government and institutional clients.

Halpin maintains multiple professional licenses and certifications supporting the company’s expanding operational scope, including general contracting and environmental safety credentials.

Strategic Expansion
Over time, NYC Disinfection Services expanded beyond sanitation services into broader construction and facility support disciplines, including groundskeeping, light maintenance, painting, carpentry, environmental remediation services, and licensed locksmith operations.

In 2026, the company launched a dedicated residential relocation division to support housing modernization and capital improvement initiatives. The division reflects Halpin’s focus on logistical coordination, workforce management, and integrated service delivery within public-sector environments.

The company operates across all five boroughs of New York City, with additional contract experience in Boston, Chicago, New Jersey, and the Washington, D.C. region. The workforce currently ranges between 30–40 employees, with continued strategic growth focused primarily within the New York City market.

Education & Professional Background
Prior to founding NYC Disinfection Services, Halpin owned and operated GLO, a New York City-based spa business she developed after earning a Master of Science degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Her academic background and early entrepreneurial experience in regulated service industries contributed to her operational discipline and structured management approach. These foundations continue to inform the company’s compliance-driven growth model today.

Long-Term Vision
Halpin’s long-term vision is to build NYC Disinfection Services as a stable, legacy-focused New York City company grounded in compliance, workforce development, and operational excellence.
